LCFOA Mission
The Linear Collider Forum of America (LCFOA) provides a formal network for its U.S. industry members with a common business interests to interact with U.S. government funded R&D efforts during the design and siting of International Linear Collider (ILC). The LCFOA provides a partnership between its industry members and government, National laboratories, universities, the ILC Global Design Effort (GDE) and the Americas Regional Team supporting the GDE throughout all phases of the ILC program. The forum will provide its members current information on the progress and issues related to the ILC development through newsletters, bulletins and meetings at the National laboratories and in DC. The LCFOA will prepare and present briefings and industry position papers on behalf of the forum on specific management and technical issues where relevant U.S. industrial capability will benefit the program. The forum will facilitate two-way technology transfer between industry and U.S. funded ILC activities. The LCFOA will not advance the capabilities of any individual member or members but will serve as an advocate for integrating the capability of U.S. industry in all appropriate ILC program activities.
